Most homes in Sun City are single-level houses built from concrete block. Many sit on gravel yards, and plenty back onto a golf course. Every room shares one floor, so dust tracked in at the front door spreads through the whole house. Fine grit blows off the gravel and works its way under the doors. It lands on the tile floors first, then on top of every ceiling fan blade. A quick sweep gets the floor, but the fan blades and baseboards keep holding it.
