What dust does inside a Phoenix house

Phoenix sits on a flat desert floor, and the dust that comes with it never really stops. It blows in on dry spring wind. In the summer monsoon, a dust storm can cross the valley in an afternoon and coat everything outside. It gets into the house through the gaps around sliding patio doors and window frames. Then it settles on ceiling fans and on the tops of kitchen cabinets, where nobody looks.
